this is my second time giving the maldron hotel a review (something i have never done before). this hotel is perfect for a family trip to dublin we stayed there for its locality to emerald park and funtasia water park in drogheda.also newgrange. but the experience was made by the staff and the facilities. ill start with check in serhil checked us in,the guy was welcoming professional and very accomodating.he seemed to be there every time we walked past reception working away.he also was there to seat us to the breakfast room the next morning too.helped us with a slight issue of someone thinking we sat at there table instantly clearing up the issue for both parties very well. the breakfast was fantastic great coffee (some hotels struggle with this.the food was amazing especially the local produce puddings sausages etc and a large selection of cereals and vegetarian options for my son.lidia the lady whom worked clearing the tables was very friendly as was magdalena on day two, the room was very spacious warm shower two double beds and a single bed warm shower and spotless.we had dinner in the restaurant both nights.the wings were delightful the family deal for two courses two adults 2 kids for just 71.00 euros was a great deal also i must say the food was lovely the beef blade and the apple pudding pie was delightful kids enjoyed there pizzas also.boys vegan spagetti was nice too. michael who served us on the first nite was very friendly indeed and accomodating as was khaleed on day two. we checked out online also which was very easy to do also. all in all a great hotel from minute one we will always use this hotel any time we go to dubli as it is faultless.thankyou very much for a great stay the mcgahan family. from belfast.

As a fairly regular business customer I must commend Stephanie in the coffee lounge. She always has a beaming smile and a cheery disposition and is very efficient. She would be a a treasure for any hotel. The service, fresh bakes and tea all top quality. And the staff are excellent!

Stayed here for 3 nights, great base of operations for visiting Dublin. This is a mid-range hotel with a spacious and comfortable room that's clean. Fixtures and hotel are somewhat dated, but everything was in working order. Staff was great. Our room door did not close by itself, so you had to pull it shut. We found on our last day that either housekeeping or maintenance (had to fix a plumbing issue, but they were on it) had not pulled it shut after we left for the day and when we got back late at night, our door was still propped open for the entire day. Fortunately, honest people seem to be patrons, as none of our valuables were missing. We rented a car from the airport, which ended up being less than taking a taxi two ways. To visit Dublin, we drove to the Red Cow Luas station (< 1 mile away) and parked there and took the Red Line into town. We used the Leap visitor cards to get around town all day on buses and Luas. Check the TFI Leap website on where to buy them at the airport before you go to the hotel. Dublin is also fairly walkable. The weekend prior we stayed in city center and we much preferred staying at this location as it was less busy and quieter - also much less expensive. The hotel bar was a nice place to have a pint late at night. The breakfast was very good, and we enjoyed the selection and the food. Staff was very accommodating when our flight got cancelled and we had to stay an extra night. We were able to keep our room and extend our reservation. This hotel is also only about 40 minutes driving from Newgrange/Knowth and Trim. So it's ideal for exploring not only Dublin but the places that are just outside Dublin. Highly recommend.
